Charles D. Austin
Charles D. Austin, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ira Austin, of Lowville, died Saturday at his home in Watertown of heart disease. Mr. Austin was born In Lowvllle 49 years ago. He followed the occupation of stationary engineer and upon going to Watertown to reside, 16 years ago, was connected with the Diamond Novelty Company, until two years ago, when he embarked in the manufacture of soft drinks.
He was a member of Lowvllle Lodge, No. 759. I.O.O.F., of Watertown Lodge, No. 49, B.P.O.E., and of the Foresters' Court.
His widow, Mrs. Effie Austin, and step-son Raymond D. Seymour, of Watertown, survive, also two brothers, William D. Austin, of New York, and John I. Austin, of Denmark, and one sister, Mrs. George Vanduser, of Felts Mills.
Funeral services were held from the house Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock; interment at Boonville.
