Mrs. Ira Austin
Mrs. Ira Austin, who bad been in poor health for several months, died Tuesday at her home in this town, aged 78 years. Her maiden name was Huldah Dence, and she was a sister of the late John Dence, of Lowville. The greater part of her life was spent in this town. She was for many years a member of the Methodist church, and a faithful, conscientious Christian. Besides her husband, who is critically ill, she is survived by four sons, George Austin, of Lowville; William D. Austin, of New York; I. John Austin, of Denmark, and Charles B. Austin, of Watertown; also one daughter, Mrs. George H. VanDusen. The funeral services will be held at one o'clock this afternoon, Rev. Albert P. Palmer officiating, and interment will be made at Boonville.
